What are Graters?

Originally intended to use only for hard cheeses by its French inventor, graters nowadays vary in shape, size, and even grating slots. Aside from hard and soft cheeses, a grater can also be used in shredding citrus peels to create zest, potatoes, coconut meats, and nuts among others.
